Waterbear - The College Of Music
Waterbear, The College of Music was founded by Bruce Dickinson (former Little Angels guitarist) and have been our principle sponsor for a number of years. They offer Innovative BA (Hons) and MA Degree courses for forward-thinking musicians.
With a commitment to smaller class sizes, flexible course delivery and one-to-one mentoring, WaterBear represents a fresh approach to Higher Education.
RACPA have been the festival's chosen charity since the beginning back in 2015. The charity organisation has proved to be a very positive one at the festival offering support and advise to families, a private area to chat in complete confidence as well as their amazing talks to the festival crowd each year. The smiles on their faces also brings much delight to all festival goers and the BBFest crew too.
Emerging Rock Bands (ERB) have burst onto the music scene very quickly. They have a fantastic radio station and a printed quarterly magazine promoting the underground rock scene. They are our venue stage sponsor for 2022 hosting the 'Emerging Rock Bands Stage'. They will be covering the festival with interviews and promotion throughout the build up to the 7th BBFest via their radio station and magazine.
The amazing sounds from the stage are supplied partly by Blackstar Amplification who have been a great sponsor to Breaking Bands Festival over the years. We are very proud to have such support from them.
Breaking Bands joined the pledge to reduce our carbon footprint by 50% by 2025. We are already ahead of the pack when it comes to this with our initiatives onsite and we promise to continue this pledge with new ideas coming through all the time.
Brand new for 2022, Nikki Davenport brings her rocking playlists to the festival with a free morning workout each day of the festival. A great way to burn off some calories before hitting the burger van and the bar!
Brian Hoggard, owner of Dragon Music will be bringing the students aged 8 to 18 to the festival for the opening day, Wednesday 1st June 2022. The young students will be given the full festival experience, performing on stage to the first day crowds. We will be renaming the stage The Jez Cole Stage for the day in memory of Jez who used to run the rock schools.
We have teamed up with Access Creative College Birmingham who will be bringing their students along to host the Thursday evening on the Emerging Rock Bands Stage. Bringing students to perform in their bands, students running the stage, sound and lighting too. Also, some of the students will stay for the weekend and run the Access Creative College Acoustic Stage as well as helping out in the media centre.
STMS Print is a new company that will be the principle supplier of all t-shirts, hoodies, beanies, and staff polo shirts for 2022. STMS Print supplied all the designs for the Brekaing Bands Fundraiser and we are proud to have them on board as their quality and price is hard to beat.
Red Six Studio have been our website and hosting supplier since we launched in 2015 and with their help, we have racked up hundreds of thousands of website visitors. They look after our social media as well as the website and the ecommerce side of things too. We'd be in trouble without a good website company and these are the best.
Support The Music Scene app is dedicated to supporting the underground rock and metal scene. The app is free to download and promotes radio stations, band videos, magazines for latest news and a 12 month gig guide all updated daily. They have sponsored the festival and will provide advertising across their app platforms throughout the build up to the festival.
