BREAKING BANDS FESTIVAL 2020 MOVES TO 2021 – NEW VIRTUAL FESTIVAL ANNOUNCED FOR 2020!

It is with heavy heart and extreme dissapointment that the organisers have now announced that Breaking Bands Festival 2020 has become victim to Corona Virus and this year will be cancelled.

Having spent time chatting with stage crews and staff, bands, traders and customers, the only responsible thing to do during this health crisis was to cancel like so many others.

The organisers have gone a step further though with the announcement. This years original line-up will play at 2021 festival.

On top of this, the organisers have announced that they will have a Breaking Bands Virtual Festival for 2020 on the original dates of this years event with as many of the bands that can make it.

What does this mean? Festival Director Jay McGuire explained in a live Facebook video announcement that bands will be invited to play their scheduled slot but from their homes or studios and going out live on Facebook during which, their merch and music links will be promoted for fans to buy and help support each band.

On top of that, the festival have set up a funding page where people can donate funds towards the virtual festival as a sort of ticket fee. Suggested donation is £5 and all the money raised will be split between every performing band along with RACPA charity (Rock Against Child Pornography & Abuse UK) who have been the chosen charity since the launch of the festival.

The Directors have also said they will top up all the donations at the end by 10% out of their own pockets.

Refunds for those who do not want to transfer their tickets for 2020 to 2021 will be available from next week as the organisers have asked for a few days to make the arrangements.
