BREAKING BANDS BECOMES A COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Since creating Breaking Bands Festival back in 2014 and hosting the first event in 2015, it has been our aim to build a community festival to be proud of.

Today we can announce that we have been accepted as a CIC, Community Interest Company making our goal well and truly official.

A community interest company (or CIC) is a special form of non-charitable limited company, which exists to benefit a community, or with a view to pursuing a social purpose, rather than to make a profit for shareholders.
What does this mean?
Well, we continue as we have done in regards to the festival. We wanted to become a CIC so we could gift our faithful supporters with community shares for continued support of the festival with the launch of the fundraiser last week.
We shall be rewarding gift shares to customers who spend multiples of £10 on fundraiser products once the campaign has completed. Its our way of saying thank you.
