Band Announcements – A Whole Lotta Metal!

Well this is our last announcement of bands now until the end of the Summer festival season. We really hope you have enjoyed the extra bands we have added. Its been a really tough job going through the applications (well over 500 bands!) to come up with the bands we have so far. As we make this announce we now have most of the line-up complete with 19 main stage bands and 3 on the acoustic stage. This next bunch of bands have a common ground; they have or will be playing Bloodstock Open Air Festival, the biggest UK festival that still have some ethics when it comes to supporting unsigned and independent bands and a festival that we really look up to here at Breaking Bands Festival.

So lets kick off with a band that played this year. From Hinckley in Leicestershire they made quite an impact with their first gig after the band went on hiatus last year. They are switching from main stage to the acoustic though but never fear… the shirts will still be aplenty. Yes its those miserable durges known as RESIN and we are delighted to have them all back for a second year and we are sure they will put on another top class performance (maybe even champagne again?).

Onto the main stage and a band that had to sadly pull out of 2015’s festival. We are all about giving bands a chance though and so many people messaged us and asked if we could get them on next year, well that is what we have done! London metal band SKARTHIA will be playing next years event. They are a tremendous hard working and down to earth band and we were excited when they said yes.

Now for a band that played Bloodstock last year and one that we booked weeks ago. Hailing from the deep and dark south of Exeter is a metal band that will blow you away. Influenced by the sounds of Megadeth, Trivium and Machine Head we are proud to announce KILL ALL THE GENTLEMEN onto Breaking Bands Festival.

Finishing this quartet of band announcements is WRETCHED TOAD, a band that can only be described as ‘WOW’. If you like Black Sabbath mixed with the haunting sounds of Robert Plant and then some Iron Maiden riffs thrown in for good measure then this is the band for you. They have doom, rock, metal, funk and a lot more besides. They made the London Metal 2 The Masses crowd and Judge Simon Hall dumb struck with their amazing sounds and that is why they won the competition and are playing Bloodstock. As they came off stage, before the judges had decided the winner we booked them, they were so damn good!

So there we go everyone. A full press release and poster will be online later updating you with all 19 bands and 3 acoustic acts. Tickets can be grabbed at the early bird weekend price of £25 including camping and remember, KIDS GO FREE!
