All festivals have to make changes during the build up to the big weekend, whether it be line-ups, activities and even location. Breaking Bands Festival have those same logistics to deal with!
We recently announced that the rock den is no longer part of the sponsorship of Breaking Bands Festival and the third stage. We are proud to announce that our fantastic designer Mark from Asylum Seventy7 has stepped up to the plate regarding sponsorship and the stage will now be known as The Asylum Seventy 7 Stage. We are very pleased to have Mark on board who has also designed the super-hero festival t-shirts for this year.
Asylum Seventy 7 can be found at http://www.asylumseventy7.co.uk/ where you will see some amazing artwork done for bands and music related companies from around the world including one of the latest Evil Scarecrow releases. Mark really knows how to look after the bands and therefore this was a fantastic choice for a partnership.
Along with a stage name change there are a few band changes for the stage too. Unfortunately We have lost Still Remains UK, Southbound and The Liabilities. We are saddened to see them go but at the same time we are very excited to announce their immediate replacements (as we said before, we have enough bands for another full line up on our reserve list.
So it is with great joy that we announce firstly Vain Galen, a 3 piece alternative rock band from West London. Check out this video…
Secondly a band that has already graced the main stage of Breaking Bands Festival back in the first year and have also had a stint on the acoustic stage last year during the open mic. In fact, 2 members of this band we’re part of the volunteers team last year picking up litter, helping people on site and being a big part of what makes the festival run so welcome back local band The Loved & Lost. This female fronted hard rock band will have you begging for more with their great show presence and excellent music.
And thirdly, a band we really wanted to get on the bill for a long time and are so pleased they have said yes. Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent, Red Spektor is a power trio playing Stoner Blues Rock with a Psychedelic edge and should have everyone on their feet getting into the swing of things with their amazing set.
We also have one other band announcement to make. Early last year Deified had to pull out of the festival due to personal reasons. We hoped that things could be worked out so we left the space open for them for as long as we could to still play the festival but unfortunately, that is not to be. Replacing them is a brand new band making their stage debut. They really are what you can call a part of Breaking Bands Festival too! Escaping Arkham formed from a long term musical relationship between Rhianna and Will. They both work stage at Breaking Bands Festival Rhianna with band liaison and Will you all know is our master sound engineer. Last year we put it to a festival group as to whether they should play this year. The vote was unanimous so here they are. More details of what they do will be revealed soon.
