We are down to just 6 weeks now until the festival gates open for the 4th edition of Breaking Bands festival and just a handful of tickets left.
We have a few changes to announce to the festival line-up. Its not something we like to do so close to the event but in these circumstances we are sure everyone will fully understand.
As many of you will have heard, not long ago Nathan Gunn of the Scottish band and Saturday night headliner Estrella, sadly lost his life in a car accident. Due to this, we have left the band and family to mourn in peace but Nathan’s Brother Luke who is also in the band has now informed me that it would be too soon and too emotional for the band to come and play the festival this year. It is something we fully understand and totally respect.
We would therefore like to announce that New Generation Superstars will move up from sub-headline spot on Saturday night. During their set there will be a one minute applause in memory of Nathan on behalf of all of us at Breaking Bands Festival. We will also have collection boxes if anyone would like to contribute to it for Nathan’s girlfriend and their unborn child. There is a JustGiving page which has well over £6,000 donated so far but at the festival we’ll have the buckets around for any spare change to add to that collection.
We would also like to announce that our acoustic stage headliners Last Great Dreamers have agreed to step in and sub-headline the main stage as well. We are delighted to have them play not once but twice on Saturday evening.
The rest of the weekend line-up remains the same but to recap, here is the evening times for Saturday:
19:30 – JoanovArc
20:35 – Psychobabylon
21:40 – Last Great Dreamers
22:40 – New Generation Superstars
We have just under a dozen weekend tickets remaining and we expect they will all be sold over the next week so if you are still thinking about it, best get in quick!
