With the Session Studio main stage bands already announced and most recently, the addition of the Rock Den stage bands we just had one stage left to announce… the very popular acoustic stage. For 2017 we have invited a great mix of well known bands, old favourites and some acts that you may not know.
As with this year and last year, the acoustic stage will be situated in the arena opposite the main stage entrance and once again will be hosted by the very talented Ian Bourne. Next years acts will be:
The bands are: Black Forge, Huffy, Hybrid.9, Ian Bourne, Little Terry, Metasoma, Monica & The Explosion, Redwire, Stonepit Drive, The Idol Dead, The Senton Bombs and Without Grace. We are extremely delighted to have these bands and acts on board for 2017 which is easily becoming one of the talked about independent festivals in the calendar.
Black Forge, from Somerset have been on our radar for a long time. When they said they could offer acoustic we had to bring them on board. Hybrid.9 just look at their cover of Tribute in the video below! Little Terry is something very special and one that we cannot wait for you all to discover. Redwire, what can you say… the party animals of this years festival and they will be bringing the rest of the crew too! The Senton Bombs played main stage in 2015 and we just had to bring them back to do acoustic. The Idol Dead, fast becoming a BBFest household name. They play the showcase event in March 2017 as well as being invited back to play acoustic like they did last year.
Stonepit Drive is a band we have loved forever and their acoustic show is fantastic. Ian Bourne.. well he’d be after eating your brain if we didn’t have him back. He has personally invited 2 acts along too… Huffy and Monica & The Explosion so we are looking forward to them treating us to something different. Without Grace has been one band that resident mum of the festival Jacqui has been telling us about for a long time so we wanted to give them a shot too. Finally, Metasoma… the Sunday night sub-headliners will warm up with a special treat on the acoustic stage.
Below is a couple of videos… first is from this year with the awesome Absolva brothers of Luke & Chris and the second video is from Hybrid.9 taken earlier this year at Rockwich.
This concludes the full 2017 Breaking Bands Festival line-ups. We thank all the bands that applied to play in 2017 and hope that many will come along and enjoy the weekend, network and say hello to us… we may just pick them for the following year.
